From sole traders to large regional and national businesses, the Benger commercial insurance team has many years of experience in working with clients across all major business sectors. As such we have developed a wide range of bespoke insurance protection solutions that are tailored to cover the needs of most commercial enterprises.
All businesses have assets, incomes and potential liabilities that require protection, and we work to ensure that the risks of loss to the client are minimised by putting the correct cover in place, with the right insurers, at a competitive price.
Our experience and expertise covers most trade classifications, including :
- Manufacturers & Wholesalers
- Retailers
- Office-based businesses
- Restaurants, Pubs, Hotels & Guest Houses
- Contracting businesses
- Surgeries
- Sports and Social Clubs
- Charities and other not-for-profit organisations
As no two businesses are the same a client’s insurance needs are rarely straightforward and sometimes quite complex. Therefore our approach to each client’s risk management and insurance programme is to develop a thorough understanding of the business, with regular face-to-face review meetings. By building and maintaining a close working relationship we can develop bespoke insurance protection and bring true ‘added value’ to the relationship.
We maintain strong links with a large number of insurers, some being household names, whilst others are specialists in ‘niche’ areas of the market. With new insurance schemes being continually developed we ensure that we keep abreast of all new facilities which allow us to consistently offer our clients the best and most competitive cover available.
Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI)
This cover has traditionally been arranged for professionals such as solicitors, architects, accountants, surveyors etc. Whilst these remain the cornerstone of our involvement in this sector in recent years a growing number of new professions has evolved that also require the protection of professional negligence cover. Examples are IT and Computer Consultants, Health & Safety Consultants, Public Relations and Media, and Management Consultants.
Directors & Officers Liability Insurance (D&O)
Irrespective of the type of business a company is involved in there may be times when it’s Directors and senior management are personally exposed to claims being made against them relating to an alleged breach of duty. In tandem with the ever-increasing burden of legislation, regulation and the litigious society that we now live in, this is something that every company has to deal with. D&O cover offers protection against these risks and the increased likelihood of key company personnel having claims made against them.
Trustees Indemnity Insurance
Anyone acting as a trustee (typically, but not exclusively, on behalf of a charity) is potentially exposed to claims arising out of alleged ‘wrongful acts’, such as breach of duty or breach of trust. A trustee may, therefore, have to pay for legal assistance to defend such claims, and could face having to pay any damages that may subsequently be awarded. Trustees Indemnity Insurance offers individuals total peace of mind by removing these worries.
